I first met pat chambers on the golf course, but I soon learned his true passion was fly fishing.
At the time, I owned an entry-level Orvis all in one fly rod and reel and had fished one time at East Lake. I asked Pat if he would be willing to have some company and let him know that I was a true beginner. He said that he would enjoy the company and so began my fishing experiences with Pat. On our first trip, I often struggled to tie flies on to my tippet and forget about being able to tie tippet on to my leader. I also often got my line tangled while casting. Pat was very patient with all of those struggles and soon I was able to tie on flies, tie my tippets onto my leader, and my casting was soon much better…and best of all I was catching fish! All of these were thanks to Pat’s patient instruction. His knowledge of both still-water and river fishing are extensive.Pat was always excited for my successes and to see that another person was also now a passionate fly fisherman!!

Pat Chambers can best be described as a good friend, Godly man, and an avid fishermen.
After retiring we moved to central Oregon where I met Pat. I personally had no fly fishing experience, however my father-in-law loved fly fishing and I inherited all of his gear when he passed. Pat offered to take me fishing and teach me how to fly fish. At first I found myself untangling a fly line more than actual fishing, however Pat was very patient with me. After getting my line in the water I saw the indicator go down and landed my first Crane-bow. Pulling that fish in on a fly line was a whole new experience, thus I was hooked. I quickly learned about all the fly patterns and using the flies that Pat tied made all the difference. Pat has a real passion for creating flies that catch fish. He has become my #1 source for flies, as I know we will have success on my next fishing trip.
